How the Ledger is written

Jorpex maintains a live database of public procurement notices from more than forty official sources — TED for the European Union, SAM.gov for the United States, national portals from France to Finland to Japan, and the multilateral banks. Each week we review every notice added to that database and select the few that say something: a purchase that signals intent before any announcement, a first of its kind, an unusual sum, or a genuine curiosity of the administrative state.

Every item links to its original notice. Figures are quoted as published, with approximate euro conversions. Titles translated from other languages are marked as machine-assisted. Where a notice leaves an obvious question unanswered, we say so rather than speculate.

The Ledger carries no bylines by design. Editions are drafted with automated analysis of our database and edited by a human at Jorpex before publication. Corrections are noted in place. Write to ledger@jorpex.com.

For reporters

This material is free to use with attribution to Jorpex. If a story needs more than what's published here — how many counter-drone tenders Germany has issued this year, which agencies buy a given technology, first appearances of a term across 50 countries — we run custom pulls from the database for journalists at no charge.
